taking care of your skin + a few tips.

As girls, we have an unlimited number of insecurities. Our face is what makes us all different & unique. No one has your exact face, not even your identical twin. Very similar and sometimes hard to tell apart, but it's still not the same. So let's take care of ourselves and keep it healthy! We either like to keep it natural or sometimes change it up and be creative. Staying natural is much more beautiful, but experimenting different ideas with makeup is just so much more fun! :D I want to share a few tricks & tips I learned from others [and figured out on my own], now passing along the word. We girls need to watch out for each other. Don't be selfish and keep these handy secrets to yourself! I also want to add a list if "DO NOT" rules. You would think a lot of things would be common sense, but girls still think they look good with a lot of things they SHOULD not have done to their faces. -_- *Shakes my head*
- DO NOT draw your eyebrows in with EYEliner [pencil or liquid]. It's not meant for your brows, so it will be VERY unnatural. It's too thick and dark & most likely end up smudging.( TIP: Very lightly shade in your brows with a BROW pencil & then with a brush lightly go over it with brow shadow [eyeshadow is okay too] that is close to your hair color. Don't press hard, just hard enough for your brow hairs to catch the powder with a more natural effect, which is the look you were going for anyways. )
- DO NOT cake on your face powder/foundation [even if you have a few blemishes]. If you absolutely have to cover it up, then lightly put some concealer on the problem area and then blend in the powder coverup to your natural skin. You DO NOT need to put layers and layers on. But it's always best not to put ANY makeup on your blemishes. In most cases, it will only make it worse. ( TIP: It's BEST for your skin if you put moisturizer on, then sunscreen, and THEN coverup/makeup on. You want to put things that are the healthiest for your skin underneath the things that aren't. Suncreen will protect your face from UV rays. Believe it or not, UV rays still hit your skin EVEN if there's no sunlight out! )
NOTE: A good way to remember which UV rays affect what is: UVA rays= Aging, going deeper, underneath your skin, causing wrinkles or cancer. UVB rays= Burn, this is what causes sunburns and gives you that tan everyone wants.

^_^ Anyhoos, I'll save some more tips for another time. I want to type up another blog strictly focused on makeup and a best friend of mine that does awesome art for your face! Keep posted!

my love + food = heaven.

Wow. My first official post! :D Hooray! I really do miss blogging. I remember when xanga.com was the place to go for that. I loved typing up random crap & then reading it months or even years later. I guess it's never too late to start over.
Matt and I recently celebrated our 6th month anniversary! We really didn't do much. It was on the 22nd of this month, but we didn't really do anything until Sunday. I had to work on Saturday, so the girls [Anna, Di] and him visited me after shopping for a bit at Nordstrom Rack at the Supermall in Auburn. He knows how much I love the whole "Twilight Saga" and got me a bracelet from that line. The bracelet I got is mainly focused on Jacob Black. LOL. Yeah, I am TEAM-Taylor Lautner. I love Jacob in the movies, but Edward in the books, mainly because of how the actors portray their characters. What can I say? I have a thing for tall, dark, and handsome. ^_^ Yum.
Anyways, going to the next day: Sunday. We went to bed just a tad bit late, but everyone at the house was up pretty early. Majority of the house went out to get massages. So while they did that, the two of us were starving and decided to go eat. First, we decided to eat at Olive Garden.. But the wait was much too long. Then the idea of eating at Sakura's Japanese Steakhouse popped up. I was getting sooo excited, I haven't eaten there in years! But as we roll up to the front, the sign tells us that they are open 10am-2pm, then 5pm-10pm.. We got there at 3pm. Seriously, being hungry and nothing going as smoothly as I hoped was beginning to make me incredibly crabby! Not too long after, the light bulb in my head turns on, we should go to HONEY PIG!! I live literally 30 seconds from that place, but haven't gone in about 2 years! In my opinion, it is one of the BEST Korean restaurants ever! It was the perfect timing and occasion to go again. (: Oh man, the food was absolutely delicious. All that food and the bill was only $45. I also ordered my favorite "Black-goat soup", typically $30, but only $13 here. YUMMMM. All that food for only two people. Our tummies wanted to explode. Babe knows I've been non-stop craving for some frozen yogurt, so that's just what we did after. I like original-tart flavored, with fresh strawberries, mochi, captain crunch, almonds, and chocolate chips! So satisfying. I want some more again now.. Anyhoos, we went home and I wanted to go into a food coma. I was so tired and sleepyyy.. But the girls finally came home and everyone wanted to do a Hot Pot party, so we went to the Asian market [Padlo World] to get some ingredients. It felt like foreverrr, I swear. But the whole cart was full, the total was only around $100, and we all split it. The prepping didn't take too long at all with four girls helping! Yes, if you look at the picture, all the food was set onto the ping-pong table. HAHA. Soo many people arrived to join and we definitely wouldn't have fit anywhere else. At least this way people can get up, get their food, and then come back if they want more. It's just so much more convenient. This table is so handy is so many different situations. After dinner, was the beginning to ENDLESS games of beer pong.. Literally. I believed we finished up the LAST game around 5am. Crazy. The girls from Canada were down, so of course, we need to party hard! Some people took a nap in between and woke up, just to play again. I don't even know how many cases of beer they all went through. It's completely nuts! Yeah, my sleep was deprived! No more late nights! Well, I think I'll finish up. This is good enough for my first entry. :D Good night! P.S Once, again, HAPPY HALF-YEAR, baby!! You know how much I love you!

"I hope you know that I don't normally do gay shit like this.." -Matt. LMAO!! x)
