Big Messy Bow Hair Updo

The weather had been very hot so I wanted to put my hair up, but in a cute way! I love Binosusume's videos! She has the most cutest kawaii hair tutorials! <3 This is my attempt at the Big Hair Bow.
The video below is what inspired this updo! :)

Reunited and it feels so good!

I love my twin sisters!
(Hehee, you can see my baby bump is growing!)
Justin was sweet enough to bring Nina (Picture Above: LEFT) back home for a few days! :) They originally came here to attend the Atmosphere concert and for him to finally meet our side of the family. Man, I miss them so much already! I was originally suppose to have the first three days they were here OFF from work, but long story, it didn't go as planned. I had to work their whole visit. I'm annoyed and disappointed I didn't get to spend as much time with them as I'd hoped. Whatever. I'm the happiest when ALL the Woo sisters are reunited! It doesn't happen often. Nina lives in California, she recently moved to Oakland from San Fransisco.

Yeah, OAKLAND. I constantly worry about her. I tell her to call me ANYTIME she is walking somewhere late at night and tell me every time she turns onto a new street. I don't care what time it is. Last time I talked to her from 12am to 2am. I was dead tired the next day, but it was worth knowing she's safe. She tells me it's not TOO bad living there.. BUT her little studio apartment is invested with ants!! Us Woo girls grew up with ants crawling all up in our home, so it's definitely something that we CANNNOOOTT stand! She told her landlord and what did he do? He handed her some bug spray.. Like really? That's it?

Ugh! I've never heard ANYONE say anything GOOD about Oakland! In fact, I read an article a month ago where there was a drive by shooting and two men were injured and a 2 yr. old in a stroller was hit and died. It happened in broad daylight! So sad.. I told her this and she told me two "funny" mugging stories she heard from her friend about her ex boyfriends' that used to live in Oakland.
  1. Friend's Ex-BF #1-- BF has his music ear buds in WITHOUT any sound on and is walking down the street texting on his phone. BF hears footsteps behind him and hears two guys behind him, "Hey man (talking to his buddy), this dude is listening to his music. I'm about to jack his iPhone." BF turns around and says, "Actually, it's a Blackberry." The two little muggers realize they are caught and the BF is bigger than them, so they run off.
  2. Friend's Ex-BF #2-- BF walks to the BART and mugger pulls a knife out on him and tells him to give him his stuff. BF says no and pulls out HIS OWN KNIFE! Mugger says, "Oh, shit!" and runs off.
HAHAHA! Okay, I'll admit, I laughed pretty hard when I heard these stories. But I still WORRY! I would worry just a little less if she started carrying around some mace, a knife, and a black spray painted gun! Ugh, even just the other day, she was walking late at night and some assholes in a car were yelling out some racists things, "Ching, chong, ling, ling!" or something like that. She flipped them off, but I told her next time to just ignore it, what if they get mad and get out and chase her?

I guess she started carrying around a small knife and didn't realize it was in her purse when she went through security check at the airport. LOOOL! That must have been SOOO awkward! The security dude was cool about it though, I believe he felt sorry for her and asked if there was anyone she could hand it off to or else they would have to throw it away. :/ She tossed it.
Neenerz (Nina)-- Twin #2 (Born a few seconds after Mindy) I'm so happy she came home for a visit! She smuggled $60 worth of dimsum for us! LOL, we make her do that all the time. She even smuggles kimchee back to Cali sometimes too! I did that for her once when me and hubs were visiting her, luckily it did not explode. I finally got to take her to the Daiso here so she can grab a few things to decorate her new place. :) Awww, I really miss her.
Shrek (Mindy)-- Twin #1 (Born a few seconds before Nina) This sister lives here, only 15 minutes away from me. I still don't see her ALL the time because her hectic work schedule, but we like to spend time together on our days off. It's funny how different and similar we are at the same time! :) I love how we are. We're weird, but we totally get each other. Our styles are definitely different though. We all have our moments, but overall, we love each other to death. I don't know what I'd do without these weirdos! <3
Justin, Nina, Babe, and I all went to the Atmosphere concert. It was on the same day they flew in. So much food and driving and sisterly drama happened that day. Nina and I knocked out when we finally got home around 6pm (They flew in around 10:30am). Babe and I weren't able to purchase the tickets online. The site wouldn't let us and another site was charging $80 for two (It was suppose to be $60 for two). I didn't want to pay that amount to see someone I didn't even listen to..

We get to the Showbox SODO around 9:30pm (show was suppose to start at 8pm). Parking wasn't too hard to find, but Justin payed $8 for it. Luckily we found a scalper that sold us two tickets for $50 (at the door it was $36 each). SCORE! We got a deal! We got in and I guess the opening bands were still performing. Around 10pm or so, Atmosphere finally hit the stage. HAHA, the bar cleared out SOOO fast! It was crowded! I've never seen such a diverse crowd before! You had your hip hoppers, computer nerds, hippies with long dreads, and etc.! This guy appeals to ALL types of groups! And not just that, but this crowd was SOOOOOOO into it! They were grinding with each other, fist pumping, waving their hands, lighters were lit, body rolling, etc., etc.. It was crazy, but it was a great show. I was feeling hot and dizzy so I went outside and decided to have an infamous Seattle cream cheese hot dog! YUMMM.. After the show, we went to Chinatown for a late night din din. :) I'm bummed we didn't get to take more pictures..
The day before their departure. we all went to Snoqualmie Casino buffet. I made it right before they closed.. They close at 9pm, they seated us at 8:50pm, but told us to hurry and get our food because they start putting everything away at 9:15pm. Ugh, I hate feeling rushed at a BUFFET! ): Oh well, we got in a good meal anyways. We hit up the slots after and eventually all came up. I came up $50! I used to have a small gambling problem, but now know when to walk away. Little sisters got excited with their winnings and wanted to keep playing. I had to force them to stop! Hahaha.. Koreans + Gambling = NO GOOD!

US right before leaving the casino! Ugh, why, oh, why do they always have to do such silly poses in pictures??? I was pretty upset when I saw this! Darn you, guys! This is their "statue" pose. More like retardos to me! Hmph!
With Justin, the dude that kind of made this trip possible!
:) Thanks for bringing my little sister home!!

Overall, I had an fun reunion with my sisters! They keep me grounded and I'm thankful I didn't have to grow up an only child. I always had someone to play with! We had our years of keeping to ourselves during our teenage years, but as you get older, you realize just how important family is. I am blessed and I'll never take that for granted.

On a side note, I want to give a short and sweet thank you shout out to my baby, Matt! He has been SOOO damn wonderful this past week. He took a week off of work and has been a GREATTTT host! Seriously, he has been nothing short of amazing. I am so lucky to be his girl. <3 SOOOO LUCKY!

When we first found out and the WORST doctor's experience EVER!

When we first found out..
For a few weeks, I thought I was just really sick. I was nauseous every single day (and throwing up stomach acid, because I couldn't eat anything). Even when I did eat, it never stayed down. My body was always exhausted and I could barely do anything with my days. It was pretty bad. The same thing had happened a few months earlier and I took a pregnancy test, just in case, but it came out negative.
F.Y.I-- I never believed I could or would get pregnant. Why? Let's just say I went through some chemotherapy treatments where they had told me that my chance of conceiving in the future would be at 10% at the most (if there was even a chance). So, yeah.. This is DEFINITELY why I call this little one my miracle baby!! Either that or my hubs has some SUPER SPERM!! LOOOOL. But we were at a point in our lives where we decided not to "TRY", but if it happens, we'd be happy. If nothing happens, then we can spend the extra money and time to travel and etc. We were definitely VERYYY happy!
My mama bear kept bugging me to take a pregnancy test, so I decided to satisfy her curiosity and bought two from the Dollar Tree (<--These work JUST as well as the EXPENSIVE PT's, so if you spend $20 on one, you're an idiot. These were only $1.) I took it randomly at work (we own our own restaurant) while my sister and hubs were visiting me. Two lines came up right away. The box was telling me two lines meant positive. I was STILL confused. I STILL refused to believe it. My mom and sister got instantly excited. The hubs looked so confused and in shock. HAHAHA, his face was priceless! I called up one of my best friends (Becca) and she was screaming with excitement. She was more than happy to come with me to the clinic the next morning so I can get some REAL proof if I am pregnant or not.
The next morning, we went to the clinic together, I peed in a cup, I waited 5 minutes, and the nurse called me in. So these were her first words..
"So, your test came out positive and you are VERY pregnant."
What did that even mean?? VERY pregnant?? Well, I found out what that meant when I scheduled an appointed to see a doctor. I STILL refused to believe I was really pregnant. I really thought perhaps it was a..

Hydatidiform Mole (Molar Pregnancy) A hydatidiform mole is a rare mass or growth that forms inside the uterus at the beginning of a pregnancy. It is a type of gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD). There are two types: Partial molar pregnancy & Complete molar pregnancy. (I thought I had the "Complete molar pregnancy".) In a complete molar pregnancy, there is an abnormal placenta but no fetus. A Molar pregnancy often mimics a healthy pregnancy . (Look it up if you want.)

I read somewhere 1 out of 1000 women get it, but still.. I thought I might be that one. Come on.. I had EVERY reason to believe this couldn't be real. From the day the doctor had told me it was be near impossible, I've mentally prepared myself to not get attached to kids. I was NEVER around kids anyways until my friends started having kids and meeting my man (he LOVESSS kids and around them ALL the time).

Anyways, looking for a doctor was hard. I didn't know HOW to choose. My only requirement was I wanted a male ob/gyn, OLD (experienced) and he CANNOT be asian. I know, I know, I'm Korean, so why wouldn't I want an asian doctor? BECAUSE..
  • I cannot understand a good majority of them. I want to full understand my doctor and I cannot do that if he has a heavy accent. And chances are if he's OLD, he WILL be fobbish. No, thanks!
  • Older asians are just SOO much more judgmental. I want to be able to be completely open and honest with my doctor. I don't think I can discuss MOST of the issues or ask the questions I have in mind with them. I know I'm probably being prejudice. But whatever, if I don't feel comfortable, I don't feel comfortable. No one can change how I feel about it.
Yeah, even AFTER my reasons, I read a good review on a KOREAN doctor, and everyone else I called wouldn't schedule me for weeks, I went to go see him. Man, it was SO AWKWARD and the worst experience EVER. Some people already know, but I don't state his name here. But anyways, my experience with him wasn't only because he was and old Korean with an accent, it was how him and some of his staff handled everything.

THE WORST DOCTOR'S EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
My appointment was at 10:00am, I come in on time, but need to fill out some papers. I sit in the tiny ass waiting room until 10:30am. I hear a VERY faint "Jenny" coming from the door that is barely cracked open. I look up, see no one, so I continue playing on my phone. Then 10 seconds later, an asian nurse with a terrible accent stands at the door and says "Jenny" again, this time louder and looking annoyed that I didn't come inside when she first called. (UMMM, WTF?? How the hell was I suppose to know I was suppose to just open the door and walk inside, aren't you the one that's suppose to GET me?? I was freaking annoyed as hell with this dumb bitch.) Anyways, she doesn't say anything, walks into a room, and sits down. So I just guess I was suppose to follow her? I sit down and she leaves the room without a word. Usually, nurses or doctors TELL YOU what they are about to do to you to clue you in on what's going on.

NOPE. She walks back in with a blood pressure machine, grabs my arm, and takes my BP. Afterwards, she hands me a little cup and leaves the room. THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME, SHE NEVER SAYS A FUCKING WORD. So I'm assuming I'm suppose to pee into this cup. I go into the bathroom to do the business and they don't even have towelette wipes to clean yourself before you pee into the cup! This is a REAL HOSPITAL, how the hell do they not have any wipes in here?

Ugh.. So I'm even more annoyed. Then after 20 minutes of waiting in that little room, an older korean man stands in the doorway and says, "Jenny? Come with me." Yeah, this jackass was my doctor. I got my "Hi, my name is Dr. ___." or even a freaking handshake. Nothing. I follow him to his office, he sits down, asks a few questions, scribbles something on paper, gets up, and make me follow him into another room. I thought I was there just to interview him and then I could make a final decision if I wanted him as my doctor or not, but he brought me to the ultrasound room.

At this point, my curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to just do the ultrasound. It was so damn awkward having this dude looking at my Tarzan jungle and to top it off, I wore my Toms Shoes that day, so my feet were STANKKKKYYY! HAHA, I'll admit I felt sorry for him. He must have been suffering! He lubed up the little alien probe-looking tool and plopped it in. It felt cold, weird, and it hurt. The picture of what popped up on the monitor is at below, right now I'm still venting about this doctor! Anyways, all he says is, "There's the heart beating, the arms, legs, and head. You're due date is February 2nd. Okay, now put your clothes on and meet me in my office." How sensitive right?? No emotion whatsoever! I was there all by myself and it would have been nice to hear even a little bit of support! Especially after he knows this is my first child! And he just told me the due date, never did he even say how far along I was. Ugh, I hope my smelly feet gave that jerk a fat ass headache!!

Anyways, I sit in his office, he scribbles more stuff on paper, and a nurse comes in and hands me a baggy filled with magazines and starter prenatal vitamins. The prenatals came with two different kinds of pills with each kit with NO instructions on the box and the doctor never told me what each pill was for. Then he proceeds to stand up with, "Okay, well, we'll make another appointment.." I cut him off because he never even asked me if I had ANY questions! I stop him and tell him I've been nauseous and it's been affecting my weight and appetite. He scribbles me a prescription and hands it to me and walks out the door. NOPE, this asshole didn't even tell me WHAT he prescribed me, how to take it, or what it's for. UGGHHH!!!

I've already decided at that point that I'm finding another doctor and will NEVER refer this man to anyone. I've even heard a few bad things about him afterwards..
  • My mom tells me a few of her friends were telling her to tell me not to see him again because he was their doctor, and he did a terrible "sewing" job down there. They ALL didn't feel right down there after birth.
  • A friend of mine was telling me how he was her mom's doctor and her sister got stuck in the birth canal. Both mother and daughter were dying and he just freaked out and tried to LEAVE THE ROOM in the middle of delivery!! WTFF??? The nurse had to step in and knock some sense into him! OMFG.
  • After a meeting with my NEW doctor's nurse, I had told her my experience with the previous doctor I saw, and she instantly said, "Did you see Dr. ____?" OMG, she knew who I was talking about! He certainly had a bad rep that I had no idea about! I'm so glad I didn't see him anymore.
BLAHHHHH!!! ANYWAYS, enough of that asshole and his unprofessional staff! Here's what popped up on the monitor!! (My new doctor's nurse calculated how many weeks I was at the time.)
My little baby nuggest!!!! I was at 10 weeks and had no idea!!! I started crying when I saw this. I watched it's heart beating and everything looked okay in there. What's even more amazing is..

Baby's DUE DATE is 02/02/2011 <--The SAME birthday as the baby's daddy!!! :0) I know first pregnancies are never accurate in the DD's, but how awesome would that be if it was?? Babe definitely thinks it would be the best birthday present ever if daddy and baby shared their birthdays. Hehehe.. So cute!
To OUR LITTLE MIRACLE BABY..
Mommy and Daddy love you to death! We cannot wait until you're finally here! I promise to make your current little home as warm and as comfortable as ever until you're ready to come out. You are officially our everything and you've made us, all your uncles & aunties, and your grandmas & grandpas EXTREMELY happy and excited! We promise to give you everything you deserve and so much more.<3

Payless & Super Feet shoe insoles!

I recently visited Payless Shoes to pick up a pair of simple summer sandals for my mamabear. Dang.. Payless sure has upgraded since I was there last! I swear everywhere I go, I see a duplicate of the ever so popular Steve Madden platform pumps. I actually have a couple pairs myself: in gold glitter & black suede. But the difference is, I DID NOT and WILL NOT will pay full original retail price! There are times where I like to spoil and treat myself, but most times I will wait until they are either on sale or find them for a bargain elsewhere. I've been looking for a nice pair of NUDE pumps for more of a casual outfits and of course these babies caught my eye!
 PROS:
- Only $30 & you'll get anything else in the store for half price.
- I doubt ANYONE will guess these cuties are from Payless, they look high end!
- They are as comfortable as any other designer pumps would be.
- You don't have to feel guilty if these get ruined because they were cheap anyways! :)

CONS:
- The quality is NOT up to par compared to designer shoes. Scratches are left easily, but at least they aren't too noticeable.

I don't plan on wearing them every single day, so I don't think I have too much to worry about with the heel breaking or anything. In fact, I've had some cute Payless shoes before and they've lasted me YEARS, AND I was wearing them everyday! I guess you just have to try certain things out for yourself and be your own judge.

BUT if your a women that loves wearing HIGH to the sky heels, but hates how they much your feet scream after, you NEEEED a pair of Super Feet insoles! :D
I have a few shoe/feet related items for men AND women! I have these (look below) insoles, specifically for heels 1.5inches or higher. Let me tell you, they are AMAZING! They slip right into your shoe and mold with your feet. I could last at least 3 more hours wearing my highest heels without the usual discomfort. I NEVER wear ANY heels without them. (Nordstrom $20)
SERIOUSLY..

SUPER FEET is a MUST HAVE for us ladies!
Hmm.. Maybe I'll make a post about my top best purchases! :) This would definitely be up there!

Ombre Hair Color~

So, I finally decided to get my hair professionally colored! Why this is exciting and a bit depressing for me, I'll explain in a little side story

[First off, I haven't had my hair professionally colored ("highlighted") since I was about 13 years old. When I did start experimenting with my hair (at a young age), I discovered you can color/ bleach your own hair for under $10. I tried so many different things to my hair and was changing it up so much. I definitely wasn't willing to pay the salon prices to get it done! Yeah, it was a big mistake. I didn't realize that when Asian folks bleach their hair, it starts off looking CHUCKY (Child's Play) orange. Ew.. Over the years, I've done TOO much sh*t to my hair: black hair dye, brown hair dye, bleach, pink coloring, etc.) The ONLY things I've had professionally done since back then is a simple cut.]

I've been saying and voicing my thoughts on getting my hair colored and some people have some opinions of their own about me going through with it considering I am pregnant. But let me assure EVERYONE:
  1.  I am very well aware that I am pregnant, 24/7. I never attempt anything risky without thinking about how it will affect the little human growing inside of me first.
  2. I've done online research on the matter if it is safe or not, on the websites my doctor has referred me to.
  3. I've discussed this matter with my doctor and he assures me it is a-okay!
  4. I'm not CONSTANTLY coloring my hair, so it's not a big deal. I'm never even around harmful chemicals on a daily basis anyways.
  5. Even to be on the safer side, I decided to go for an OMBRE hair color instead of an all over solid color (which they would have to color correct before hand) because at least this way, the chemicals won't be directly on my scalp. (Even in the things I've read, they are more concerned with the chemicals soaking into your scalp rather than you inhaling the fumes, which is why I decided on the ombre.)
Thanks everyone for the concern! :0) But I promise you I'm not being irresponsible. I've even talked about it with many other moms. But yeah.. BACK to my hair color.. I'm a little disappointed in that I wish the ends were MUCH lighter. I think I'd like it better with it were even blonde near the ends. Blah. I dunno. I still love it regardless! :)

Quick Update on MY Summer of 2011

FIRST & FOREMOST.. I just want to give a BIG THANK YOU to those that have subscribed and left such sweet & supportive comments during my blogging absence!!! It was such a wonderful surprise since I really think my blog quite boring.. I feel I need to make it more interesting. Maybe add some more pictures?? Haha, or I could just regularly update like everyone else. ^_____^ But honestly, you ladies have really made me smile. THANK you SOOO much! <3
I just want to do a quick update with what's been up with me. I'll probably end up doing a special post on each important update, but I'll just quickly sum it up so you know what's coming! :)
1. If your following me on Twitter or if we're friends on Facebook, you'd know that the hubby & I are expecting our first child! :0) It's definitely our miracle and you'll know all the fun and exciting details in a separate post *jumps up & down from excitement*!
2. I've purchased some new beauty goodies throughout the summer. Things I haven't tried before, but I feel like I've used them enough now to write up a review on how well or not-so-well it worked for me.
3. Payless BOGO shoes IS the business. I'm not about name brands, but I AM about quality where it's necessary. I'd rather pay $30 for a pair of shoes that LOOK EXACTLY like the designer $100 pair of shoes, SOMETIMES. I'll get more into it later, but for those ladies that LOVE high heel pumps, but hate that it hurts your feet as the day goes on, you NEED to get "Super Feet"! I'll tell you why..

Anyways, gonna get started on my new blog entries to share! Stay tuned!
