I'm usually not this indecisive, but I am having the hardest time choosing. I've usually been the type of girl that likes to carry light, convenient purses/ handbags. In the past, the big bulky handbags have turned me off and I didn't like anything that I couldn't either wear around my waist (fanny packs) or sling over my shoulder. But lately, I've been VERY into the bags with shorter handles and stiff walls (to stand up). I wanted to be able to take my DSLR with convenience and also something big enough to fit all my other necessities without them falling all over each other.
My sister had asked me if I wanted clothes or makeup for Christmas, but I told her the next thing on my wishlist is the large LV Speedy (which will obviously have to wait, because I am in no position whatsoever to spend that much on a purse at the moment!) or any good quality bag with that similar shape. I wanted something I could just wear over my forearm.
I've already announced it on Instagram & Twitter.. Yes, I finally chopped off the beauty that was once my long hair.. A whole 6-7 inches.. All gone.. I was pretty sad & depressed about it at first, but it has grown on me! I'm actually really loving it now. I cried the first night.. Yes, I cried. I haven't cut my hair this short in about 7 years, so it was kind of an emotional moment. I know it sounds stupid, but it felt like a big part of me of gone! Haha, I know there's bigger issues out there like starving people or if Casey Anthony is really innocent or not, but this was my crisis for about a few hours. Let me be! LOL.
Why did I all of a sudden do it? Well, actually, I had scheduled an appointment with the only guy person I'll ever let touch my hair, but was thinking I could save the extra $50 for Christmas shopping instead. I had mixed feelings about whether I should cut it this short. About 50% of my friends were telling me NO and I'll regret it. The other 50% were telling me take a chance, it's only hair and will grow back.
So, I've decided to splurge my $10 and get a new custom domain for my blog! I've been wanting to change my link from "jenwoonani.blogspot.com" to "withlovejen.blogspot.com", but if I were to do that, why not just take the whole ".blogspot" part out, right? It feels more personal, that it's ALL MINE and on top of that, the link itself just looks cleaner. Everything is still here and even if you type in the old link, everyone will be redirected.

Once again, of you follow me on twitter, you probably already know that I had won 2nd place in Diane's (mykissenmakeup) most recent "Thank You Giveaway"! I was pretty excited to receive and try my first Sigma buffer brush. It was sent to me directly by the company themselves. I was expecting to get a small, tiny little package box because the brush itself is so small, but the box was medium sized and packaged very nicely even with bubble wrap! It brush itself came inside a plastic wrap and then also inside a cute red pouch. I'm so surprised of how pretty it considered 1.) It was given for free and 2.) It was only a small little kabuki brush.
You can tell from the getco this company is all about quality and excellent presentation to it's customers and potentials. I was also very impressed with how fast their shipping and delivery was! LOVE! ❤
Wow! I cannot believe it's ONLY been 2 years! I'm always telling him how it feels like we've been together for 50 years already.. Hahaha, but I totally mean that in a good way! We just know wayyy too much about each other, which can be a good or bad thing at times. But nonetheless, I am so blessed to be with such an amazing person. I was NEVER a marriage or "having kids" type of girl.. UNTIL I MET HIM. It's crazy how your whole view on life can change because of one person.
We took things VERYYY slow in the beginning, but when things started moving along, it moved REALLY fast! :D It's out little joke because when I say slow, I mean SLOWWW. It took us 6 months to officially the "I love you" words! YES, six months!!! We've both felt it from the very beginning, but we definitely were taking things slow.
Honestly though, it's really not about the speed or length of a relationship. I've never been so sure about anyone my whole life. I trust him with every bone and muscle in my body. Sometimes, you just KNOW things kinds of things about a person. I love that I can give him my whole heart and know it won't be returned broken. People that don't know us can think we are naive or whatnot, but like I said, you don't know us. You haven't been through what we've been through alone OR together.
So, I had this picture in my draft folder because I had recently found it from a photo shoot I did a couple years ago. I'm hoping to get more pieces done in the future! I did a tattoo post a while ago and went into details about what my side piece is and what it means to me. You canread it here! :)
I'm no fancy-shmancy nail artist, but I think these are cute! I absolutely ADORE floral print patterns. The wonders of what you can do with a toothpick and/or thin paint brush! I've been looking for the perfect light creamy green, and so happy I came across it at Walmart the other day ツ! Then a spotted a few other creamy pastel colors and decided to get them all. The other colors won't be featured in this post, but will once I use them. ♥
Yesterday, we celebrated the 2nd birthday of my adorable godson, Kyan! I'm so terrible, I missed his 1st birthday last year due to work, but so happy I was there for him and his mom this year. His mama (Becca) and I have been best friends for 15 years! Can you believe that?! I was one of the two people in the delivery room with her and watched as Kyan entered into this world! I cried when I first laid eyes on him. He looks exactly the same as the day he was born.
So, I know I'm a bit late at finally making this post. Been so busy and tired and been spending some QT with the lover boy once I get off from work. This huge belly of mine is NOT making things easy! LOL-

I love this makeup corrector! This is definitely one of my Daiso faves! Sometimes you make a little makeup boo boo and it's hard to wipe away without irritating your skin. This works wonders! OMG. It is SUPER late and I am on the computer blogging. This is the pain of taking naps and waking up too close to my actual bedtime. Ugh. And I have to wake up and go to a doctor's appointment at 9am. It's not even my OB/Gyn, I have to see a rheumatologist. I'll tell you why in a second. I should get to sleeping, but I think I'll finish this post first, since a lot of people have been asking about my pregnancy update and baby bump pictures!(✿◠‿◠)

I can't help but smile every time I feel even the slightest movement from him. But's annoying how often I need to go pee!!! GAH! Every 30 minutes feels like I've been holding it in for 5 hours! My belly is starting to itch a little. I need to remind myself to get some cocoa butter and vitamin e oil. Awww, he's moving as I am typing right now too! Ok, I need to get some sleep, so let me do a little venting..

Being pregnant with my condition:
Let me tell you, it SUCKS. I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was about 17 years old and you have NO freaking idea of the physical and mental hell I went through. It hurt even more because I saw what it was doing to my family, so I always tried to stay chipper and positive. They say this condition can skip many generations, which is true, because not anyone in my family that anyone knows of had it. I will definitely be making a LONG separate post about my experience and hopefully it will help raise some awareness. It took a YEAR for someone to finally diagnose me, only because my body finally was about to give up and I was on my so-called "death bed" (more details later).
You can look it up, I don't feel like explaining what is it, but just know that every case is different. I was in the worst shape, because they took so damn long to figure out what was happening. Unfortunately, there is no cure, but lupus patients are very capable of leading healthy, normal lives. We just have to be caution with certain things or environments. I'm "suppose to be" taking specific meds for the rest of my life, but I'll get into specifics later.
Anyways, they advice women with lupus NOT to get pregnant because of the all the risks to the mother AND the baby. Now, this doesn't mean we cannot have a healthy pregnancy, it only means there are risks that we should be aware of. Now, why didn't this worry me???
My specific case of lupus was rare, I guess. So my doctor wanted me to undergo some procedures: chemotherapy and the injection of an experimental drug (that could possibly lead to the cure, I think?). They had told me to think long and hard about it before a decision is made because this would basically eliminate almost any chance of bearing children in the future. I was young at the time, having kids was the LAST thing on my mind, so I did it.
So you can imagine our surprise when we found out about our little miracle. Anyways, I'm rambling.. Let me tell you the frustrating part of being pregnant wtih lupus: all the doctors you have to see! I can't just have one ob/gyn like a normal person, I have to see 4 different doctors. Ugh... But that's not the stressful part. I have to see certain doctors before I see the other doctor. Confused? Let me break it down:
My OB/ Gyn wants me to see specialists at Maternal Fetal Medicine, so they may closely monitor my baby to see if it's in any danger or risks because of my lupus. My OB monitors me and my overall pregnancy. MFT monitors baby and everything else happening within my womb.
Maternal Fetal Medicine wanted to see me in September, but I cannot see them without seeing a rheumotologist first. I haven't seen a rheumotologist in a LONGG time and I called the one I used to see, but they claim not to have any of my records. So now I have to start from scratch.
No new rheumotologist will see me WITHOUT a referral from a primary care physician. I haven't seen MY PCP in the same amount of time I haven't seen my rheumotologist. I called my previous PCP and they TOO claim not to have my records.. WTFFFFFFFFF is going on??!!!
So I make an appointment to see ANY primary care doctor at the clinic that my insurance plan goes through and they schedule me for a month later, even know they told them my whole situation. I even explained that I ONLY needed a referral and didn't need to see anyone for any health issues.
I finally go my the appointment at the clinic, wait 2 hours AFTER my scheduled time and finally a man leads me to an office, takes my insurance info, and then leads me to the appointment desk. The receptionist tells me she can schedule me to see a PCP in another month. WTF??!! Why did I even come here for an appointment if I wasn't even seeing a doctor?? I'm furious and stressed beyond belief at this point and start crying at the counter. I re-explain my situation and tell them I need to see someone ASAP, because by the time I get the help I need, this baby will already be due. She squeezes me the following Monday to see someone.
I come in Monday morning, wait another 2 hours, then another 30 minutes inside the check-up room, doctor finally shows up and types me up a referral and tell me to call them if I don't hear anything in a week.
Nothing. So I call, they tell me they sent the referral to a hospital in Seattle and to call and make an appointment. I call. They claim to have gotten nothing. I call again a few days later. Still nothing, even thought I myself have the paper stating I have 4 approved visits with them, and they say it doesn't matter if I have it, because they need a referral from the clinic.
At this point, even the nurses and my OBGYN are making phone calls and going out of their way to get all this moving along, explaining to them that they are keeping me from seeing the most important people for my pregnancy.
I call the Seattle hospital again a few days later and they tell me they got my referral.. BUT, it will take a few days to review and to decide if they will take me as a patient or not.. WTF.. Here we go again.
Then I get a call from them, telling me I need to send over my lupus records. I explain for the bazillionth time that they don't have my records and I need to be seen as a new patient. They tell me the only way to do that is have the clinic send over another letter stating I have lupus and that I also need to get blood work done. <--That would have taken another couple months.. Omg..
I only NEED to see my OBGYN & MFM, but this whole process is keeping me from getting the help. We still don't even know the full condition of our baby. These other set of doctors were making my life a living hell. I've cried so many times, stressed. They were taking the joy and happiness out of expecting your first.
I switched medical insurances (as my obgyn told me to do, because everyone is claiming they have to do things a certain way, because the policy of my current insurance). I don't know what happened or who talked to who, but the Seattle hospital had called me a few days ago to make an appointment to finally see them.
I'm seeing them in a few hours, so I should probably go to bed now. I hope it goes well.. If they turn me away after all of this and the time and effort to drive 45 minutes to see them, I am going to blow my effing top. I might strangle the person that gives me any bad news. Ughhh.. We'll see how this goes.
Anyways, I'm going to try to keep positive and happy for baby boy! I cannot wait to finally hold him and tell him he's worth everything I've ever gone through and how perfect he is. <3

I've been dreaming about owning a DSLR camera forever! I know how much these bad girls cost, so I never really fully looked into it. I decided one day, when I make enough money that I could even wipe my ass with paper bills, I'll invest in one. Since re-starting my blog and my son about to be here soon, I decided I really wanted to be able to take better quality pictures. My mind was set.
I started researching online, asked questions to a few photographer friends of mine, visited best buy a couple times, and read a whole list of reviews from users. I initially wanted a Canon. I know Canon and Nikon's are both up there as top quality SLR's, but I leaned more towards Canon's only because they've been around for longer and I have yet to hear anything negative about their products. I even looked at a few Sony's and I know they do make great quality products (even my digi cam now is a Sony), but I just wasn't impressed with any of them, not even the NEX-5.
I heart was finally set and yearned for the Nikon D5100 like a fat man lusts after a slice of chocolate cake when he knows it's bad for him. I wanted it. I needed it. Well, ok, maybe I didn't absolutely NEED it, but I wanted it enough to need it (if that makes any sense). But the question was, how was I going to get it? I considered making payments through a credit card or hitting up all my family members to help put down as my "Christmas/ Birthday/ Congrats on pushing a human being through your body" present. :) And I knew babe would help me in that area too.
I've never wanted a material object so bad in my life, not even for my first car! LOL, I was excited about my first car, but mainly because I needed it, it wasn't for luxury reasons. I've even had many dreams about this camera. Haha, I was obsessed.
But after some careful thinking and consideration, I was depressed. Why? Because I realize buying one of these would be nothing but a dream. What was I thinking? I have a baby on the way, I can't be a selfish little brat. Babe even had told me one morning that if I were to get an SLR, it wouldn't be for a long, long time because we just can't afford it right now (he's a sneaky one, he is!). I cried. I cried at my selfishness, I cried because I knew I wasn't getting one, and I cried because I got my hopes up. I NEVER get my hopes up about anything, because I don't ever EXPECT anything. But this time, I did. I felt so stupid for seeming so greedy and needy. I'm not like that at all. Ask anyone of my friends or family. I rarely ever buy anything for myself (up until recently, I really don't know where this need to purchase came from out of nowhere!!!).
My mind kept flip-flopping on the decision to purchase an SLR or not. I decided to just wait until the time was right. I was considering hitting up my dad to pitch in for this instead of sending expensive presents we don't use. But he lives in Virginia, I don't know the condition of the aftermath of the hurricane, and he had something similar to a stroke. I feel bad enough because I can't visit him before baby is born.. ):
Anyways, Monday (10.17.2011) night, after work, I came home with a slight Debbie Downer face and babe says, "Hey, you got a package in the mail today." I'm confused at this point because I get all my packages delivered elsewhere.
Then I saw it.. A big, beautiful yellow box with the words "Nikon D5100" on the top, sitting right besides the comfy brown leather couch. I just stood there for a minute, VERY confused, while my heart started pacing faster.
Me: "Who's is this?" Babe: "That's yours." Me: "No, seriously, who's is this?" Babe: "It's for YOU!" Me: *Touches box* "Is this real???" Babe: "Open it and find out!" Me: *Starts crying (tears of utter happiness)*
Babe, our best friend PMao, and mama in-law had all pitched in to make this miracle dream gift come true! Words cannot express how happy and appreciative I am to receive something so amazing. I just could not stop smiling and nothing at that point could spoil my mood. You can bet your ass babe got some SWEET, SWEET loving later on that night *sly smile* PWAHAHA.. JK.. Maybe. This is theeee best present I've ever received and I'm even more ecstatic that they gave it to me early instead of waiting two more dreadful months until my actual birthday.
I cannot stop "ooh-ing" and "ahh-ing" at her! She's beautiful and takes great pictures!! I still have lots of DSLR knowledge I need to soak in, but I am more than willing to learn. I know it's going to take a lot of time and patience. I cannot wait to get started on so many projects! :D

At 16 years old, I discovered how amazing false lashes made my teeny eyes look.. Still at that time, I only wore them for special occasions. After a while, I became a pro at applying them and wore them more regularly. Not EVERYDAY-regularly, but still a lot more often than I used to. I'm about to be 25yrs old this December, so almost 9 years of false eyelash experience. I think I'm pretty knowledgeable in that department now.
A lot of my friends didn't wear falsies much at the time, so a few of them would tell me I looked like a prositute.. LOL, some friends, huh?! But it was all purely love. They still loved me and I loved them. Pwahaha, they've crossed over to the dark side because now, I'm always getting requests to apply it on for them. *smug smile*..
So anyways, I've always had an issue with my eyes watering up for no reason. As I got older, my right eye was normal, but my left eye waters like crazy ALL the time. It's SOOOO freaking annoying!!! For absolutely no reason at all. It's even watering up as I am typing at this very moment. GAWWD.. -_____-
This is the ONLY major problem with wearing falsies for me. My left lash will start detaching before I even get to leave the damn house.. I always carry a little bobby pin and extra glue with me, but still, sometimes I'll forget! Once, I had to make my hubby stop by Walgreens before the club to pick some up, because it started detaching already. Damn you, left eye!!!!!!
EVERY GLUE I'VE EVER BOUGHT HAS ALWAYS BEEN "WATERPROOF", but it really doesn't do what it claims to. WTF? It's waterproof, but the first bit of tears in the corners of my eyes, and already it's detached. I've tried SOOOO many different "waterproof" glues out there..

These ALL claim to be "WATERPROOF".
DUO Eyelash Adhesives --- Mhy #1 choice of eyelash glue (before my discovery of the onedollareyelashes.com's lash glue). It's easier to use to fix with a bobby when the glue starts detaching. But I think it takes a while to dry. I do like that it dries rubbery so it's easy to peel of the access glue on your lashes for re-use.
ANDREA Strip Lashes Adhesives --- They were just okay. Wasn't impressed with them at all.
ANDREA Perma-Lash Individual Lash Adhesives--- This comes in a little glass tube with no brush. I didn't realize at first they were meant for INDIVIDUAL lash pieces. They ended up getting into my eyes.. Oh, man, did they burn!!! But eventually, I used them for what their original purpose, individual lash pieces. I still don't think they worked well at all. They flaked and took forever to dry. Did not like them AT ALL,
ARDELL Lash Grip Lash Adhesives--- I think they worked almost the same as the DUO's, this brand is just cheaper in price.
OTHER Cheap/ Complimentary Lash Adhesives/ Glue --- Crap, crap, crap. And a lot of them burn my eyes.
For the longest time, I've been on the hunt for a better eyelash glue out there. All these years, I've stuck with the DUO's because it did work BETTER out of all the other choices, for me at least. When I have free time and am really bored, I'll start YouTubing random beauty-related things. The lady in the video did a "waterproof" test with all the different types of glues. I read and saw a couple reviews on this little miracle glue. The only negative thing someone had said was that it worked TOO WELL. Her problem was, she didn't know how to take them off, that they just wouldn't come off. LOOL, that actually made me want the glue even more!
I ordered two (of course, if it works, I'll definitely be needing a backup!!!). Plus, if I'm gonna have to pay for shipping, I might as well add another one.
But I should have gotten more if I'm going to pay for $5 shipping.
The shipping definitely makes this all a bit pricey, but the fact that it really works for me, definitely makes this worth it.
They even sent me a free pair of their F3 lashes! The lashes themselves didn't look too bad, however the plastic packaging they were on was incredibly flimsy and pure crap. But hey, they were FREE, so I'm not complaining! I probably wouldn't ever buy their lashes though. I don't know how the quality of their other lashes are, but I can find much cheaper (w/ great quality) lashes out there.
You might be thinking, what could be cheaper than $1?! But in fact, they aren't exactly $1. You buy then by the box (10 pairs) and they are around $10-12 per box. And you WILL have to pay for shipping because the store is only available online.
HOWEVER, I will only buy my eyelash glues from here from now on!! Back to what this post is originally about..
This glue is seriously amazing!!! It really works as well as people described! AND I didn't find it difficult at all to remove my falsies afterwards.
PROS:
Comes with a wand applicator for a cleaner and easier application.
Dries clear.
A TRUEWATERPROOF product.
Lashes stayed in place even when my eyes watered up! It detached only slightly because I tugged on it on accident. But if you leave it alone, it won't budge. :)
Doesn't have a weird scent like the other glues.
The texture is smoother and thinner than most other glues.
CONS:
Only available online, so it's not as convenient to get.
If you have issues with watery eyes, but love wearing falsies, these are definitely something to consider. :) I'm not guaranteeing you will love them as much as I do, but read up on some reviews and make your own decision. I'm so happy with my purchase! I just wish I ordered more! I definitely will be stocking up next time! :)
This previous Sunday, we did two dinners. FOOD COMAAA. At the in-laws, we had some homemade beef pot roast! YUMMM.. I totally forgot to take a picture. :( Hmphh.. We had to rush through dinner to make it to another dinner with my sister and cousin in Federal Way. Now, the long overdue NYX post.. FINALLY, right?! I know I USED to update like crazy, but lately I've been overwhelmed with a few personal things and haven't had much time to update. It's been a while since I did a REAL makeup-related post, so here it is! :D These are all my honest opinions and I think I've been using these products long enough to have a good, strong opinion on them at this point. These are still all my own opinions on how these products work for me. Anyone else's experiences or opinions could be very different.
So, everyone has a favorite eye primer or base. My favorite is the ever so popular, Urban Decay Primer Potion. But I like finding things that work just as well as the higher end products, with lower end prices. I think I've found it in NYX eye shadow bases!!! :D SCORE for me! If you haven't tried these, you definitely must. I think sometimes it works even TOO well.
There are two different kinds I decided to try (and love both!). I like the jars better than wand applicators, but the HD was pricier and I wanted to see just how different it was to the regular skin tone base.
HD High Definition Eye Shadow Base
Has a wand applicator.
Creamy liquid texture.
Amazing for bright color eye shadows! Makes colors really POP!
Eye shadow lasts ALL day and night. The 24-hours later, the color was STILL just as vibrant. It won't even smudge in the slightest when I try to rub it off really hard.
Great for if you know you're going to be sweating or partying hard!
I would definitely say this is well up there with the Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Skin Tone Eye Shadow Base (ESB03)
Comes in a little jar (my personal preference).
Thick creamy texture.
Matches my skin tone, so it works great as a concealer with awesome coverage!
This base is my favorite for an everyday neutral makeup.
This eye shadow doesn't last as long as the HD base, but the colors are still much more intense than no base at all and it will last throughout the whole day.
So next, I picked out this neutral shimmery trio eye shadow palette (TS15). The first two colors look so different in the palette, but look VERY similar in the palette (which I did NOT like at all).
Soft, satin texture. Goes on very smoothly.
Colors won't stand out or last without a primer or base.
Love that the "True Taupe" is more of a matte color with just the slightest, almost unnoticeable shimmer.

I've been on the longest journey trying to find the perfect eyebrow pencil/ shadow! My absolute favorite was the Philosophy retractable (can't remember the exact name!) one, but that was discontinued..
OMG! Don't you hate it when your all-time favorite whatever gets discontinued?! I'm thinking.. WHY?!!! It's a great product and people love! Why in the world would youend it's glory?!
Anyways, back to what I was saying.. I guess the Anastasia "Perfect Brow Pencil" works pretty well too.. But the thing is, I don't want to spend $22 on something just for your brows! I know I probably spent so much more in buying all these different things to compare, but I NEED to find a more affordable go-to eyebrow pencil. I like using both pencil AND shadow typically, but I used only used each of these one at a time to show you how they looked on me. (I still think the Anastasia gives a much more natural look than these NYX eyebrow products.) Don't be disgusted with my thin no-brows!!! LOL, I made the mistake of going tweezer happy when I was younger and the hairs never fully came back.. *sad bear*..
Eyebrow Cake Powder - I like that it doesn't look as sharp. It looks slightly more natural and I can go as thick as I want. The powder grabs onto the little bits of hair that I do have quite nicely, but it looks funny on the areas lacking hair..
Push-Up Bra for Eyebrows - I love the highlighter end of the stick, it really does make your brow bones much more prominent and it's awesome as a base too! The pencil gives it more of a defined brow look, but I don't like it's texture. It can glide on a bit cakey/ chunky.. Definitely have to make sure to sweep it with a brow brush a couple time to smooth it out.
Love how versatile these jumbo eye pencils can be! Can be used as a thick liner, base, or highlighter.
Once again, lasts longer with a base underneath.
I don't like how they smudge easily.
NYX Rouge Cream Blush
Creamy and bright enough to be used on the lips too!
Don't like how easily it stains your cheeks before you get to rub it around. I'd use a brush, slightly tap some color onto it, and with your brush, tap your cheek areas before rubbing it around with your fingers.
Don't like how overwhelming this color can get! It doesn't spread that easily..
NYX Round Case Lipsticks
Love how moisturizing these lipsticks feel!
Colors are bright and very pigmented.
Lighter colors NEVER look good on dry lips.. LOL, the cracks on your lips will be very disgustingly noticeable! (I definitely had to Carmax it up before I applied the Narcissus & S. Milk!)
NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil (724 Chaos)
Just as pigmented and moisturizing as the lipsticks!!! Not drying at ALL like most lip pencils.
Because it's in pencil form, it's easier to shape and define your lips.
Works amazing as a lip stain! Apply and blot with a tissue for a more matte finish.
This specific color is my favorite!! Now, THAT'S what I call a Barbie pink shade! I've had so many people ask me what color and brand it is. Well, here it is! :D
